The table situation at Hertha is much more precarious than at Leverkusen, but the club in the capital has scored six points in the last three games. With a win today, Berlin could gain air in the relegation battle. The last four places are currently all tied. Hertha would gain a four-point lead with a win. In the event of a defeat, however, the gap to the bottom of the table would remain at a meager point.

Leverkusen is currently not in a good mood in the Bundesliga. The Werkself have only scored four points in the last five games. As a result, it has slipped back down to the bottom half of the table and the European places are a long way away. Even with a win today and a simultaneous defeat for Frankfurt, Leverkusen would still be seven points behind in sixth place. The form curve must therefore point steeply upwards in the coming weeks if the Europa League is to be reached.
