00:19
Extra point by J. Tucker (Ravens) to make it 10:17
J. Tucker’s extra point attempt is good!
00:19
Touchdown by L. Jackson (Ravens) to make it 10:16
And that pays off for the Texans! Lamar gets too much space, takes his legs in his hands and runs through the middle into the end zone!
00:19
Next good pass, next first down.
Lamar manages to serve all receivers. So there is the new first down. But then there is another brief moment of shock because Jackson misplaces a pass and the Texans almost intercept.
00:16
The Ravens are off to a good start!
After less than a minute and strong passes from Jackson inside the opponent’s 30. That happened quickly!
00:13
Start of 3rd quarter
The teams are back on the field. Go on.
00:06
Half time break!
The score at halftime was 10:10 because the Texans missed a field goal shortly before halftime. The Ravens started the game well and were able to score on their first drive, while the Texans had problems at the beginning with unnecessary penalties. But little by little they got into the game better and were the better team in the second quarter after the home team’s touchdown. So you can look forward to an exciting second half.
23:59
End of 2nd quarter
It’s half time.
11:55 p.m
Field goal missed!
K. Fairbairn (Texans) surprisingly fails with his kick from 47 yards. The Texans therefore missed the chance to take the lead shortly before the break.
11:50 p.m
Stroud with the important pass!
On 3rd & 13 deep from his own half, Stroud throws over the middle to the halfway line. Then there is the next pass over the middle for the new first down. These last two passes show the qualities of the Texans offense and they are at their own 32 with 46 seconds on the clock.
11:40 p.m
Almost the interception, but the punt is now there!
On 3rd & 7, Lamar Jackson almost throws the interception. But 4th & 7 isn’t much better, because the right to attack goes back to the Texans.
23:39
How will the Ravens recover from the shock?
If this drive is over quickly, the Texans could even get the ball back before halftime. What is Jackson doing?
23:34
Extra point by K. Fairbairn (Texans) to make it 10:10
K. Fairbairn’s extra point attempt is good!
23:33
Touchdown by S. Sims (Texans) to make it 9:10
23:33
But can the Ravens even take advantage of this?
So far the drive has been very stuttering. But once again the Texans help them in the form of a penalty. 3rd & 11 becomes 3rd & 6. But what the hell is going on in this game? This time it’s the wrong start for the Ravens. So it’s 3rd & 11 again. Lamar escapes from two defenders, but is then sacked. It’s time for the Texans offense to find solutions!
23:27
It could be dangerous for Houston.
Because as a reminder: The Texans had the ball at the start of the game. So the Ravens get the egg after the restart, which means they could now have the ball twice in a row thanks to a long drive.
23:26
Singletary is in demand again.
The running back manages seven yards again. He also gets the ball on the next play and brings them to 3rd & 1. He is currently the Texans’ most important yard collector, but doesn’t get the first down on the next run. Punt!
11:20 p.m
Extra point by J. Tucker (Ravens) to make it 3:10
11:20 p.m
Touchdown by N. Agholor (Ravens) to make it 3:9
23:19
If he sees a gap, he doesn’t hesitate.
As soon as the run didn’t go well and he couldn’t find a pass-off point, things went smoothly for him. He doesn’t make it into the end zone, but Lamar gets his team three yards in front of it. Are we about to see the first touchdown of the game?
23:16
Every little bit of time is just too much.
Jackson gets some time and sees Flowers running an incredibly strong route with a change of direction. So he is free on the outside line and is served in an exemplary manner. Then the running game via Edwards works and so they are almost at the opponent’s 30.
23:13
Start of 2nd quarter
The ball is back in play. We continue with the second quarter.
23:11
End of 1st quarter
The first section is over.
23:11
That’s what Lamar Jackson is all about!
He holds the ball for a bit, then the middle opens up and it goes forward for 23 yards. The drive logically continues after the quarter break.
23:08
Field goal by K. Fairbairn (Texans) to make it 3:3
Despite all the penalties, they are still within range for a field goal. Fairbairn is safe from 50 yards and equalizes this game!
23:08
Almost the shocking moment!
A deflected pass becomes a hot potato, but the Ravens defense cannot fully secure the ball. This was extremely fortunate for the guests. Take a deep breath. But then there is the next penalty with Delay of Game. Incidentally, in this drive there was another penalty for a false start. 3rd & 13 is then too far for the new first down.
11:05 p.m
This time he does it better!
Schultz gains confidence again and this time catches the supposedly heavier ball at the opponent’s 30. It smells like a score for the underdog!
23:04
Nasty drop from Schultz.
Stroud rolls out of the pocket on the right and finds Schultz at the opposing 35. He actually has to catch this ball, but he drops it. Understandably, he’s extremely annoyed because that would have brought her a lot forward. Nevertheless, they then manage to get the new first down on 3rd & long.
22:59
Surprising pressure from the Texans.
The Texans defense puts a lot of pressure on Lamar Jackson and his O-Line. Therefore, they are now 4th & 2 and also punt the ball. They had the Ravens offense well under control! Now it’s back in the hands of Stroud, who starts on the 45 due to a bad punt!
22:53
Flags ruin the drive.
First there is intentional grounding against Stroud, immediately afterwards there is another false start. Not only does this make another first down unlikely, but it also puts them out of field goal range. And so the ball goes back to the home team.
22:49
Stroud Magic!
The young quarterback is under enormous pressure in his pocket, but is able to break away from it. Then he sees his running back Singletary breaking through on the right side and serves him nicely. This deep pass puts them right at the opponent’s 36, but they have to go back five yards because of a false start.
22:47
It’s okay!
A simple pass to the running back and Singletary gets the first down before running out of bounds. But on his next attempt his run into the middle was not at all successful.
10:45 p.m
How do the Texans respond?
A score in the first drive naturally gives the home team additional self-confidence. What’s the next drive from Houston? Another three and out might be difficult for them to handle.
22:42
Field goal by J. Tucker (Ravens) to make it 0:3
They can’t recover from the deficit caused by the sack, but at least they can get closer with a nice pass to the right side. From 53 yards, Tucker has little trouble and puts the Ravens in the lead!
10:40 p.m
OBJ in action!
There definitely seems to be something going on in the middle! This time Beckham Jr. is free at the opponent’s 40 and can receive the pass. The Baltimore train is rolling, even if there is a sack for minus yards.
22:39
And there we have the first first down!
First Jackson cheats for four yards, then he throws against the blitz over the middle to Flowers for almost ten yards. Then the quarterback walks for the next first down. The Ravens are now at their own 47.
22:36
Texans first in possession of the ball.
The Ravens defense shows no signs of sleepiness on the first drive. They only allow Stroud and the offense seven yards and send them right off the field!
22:33
Game start
Kickoff in the game between the Houston Texans and the Baltimore Ravens. The game is running.
22:16
But the MVP favorite also has a say!
The Ravens are facing the Texans today and they really want to know it this year. And with an MVP-caliber Lamar Jackson, they clearly have the weapons to make it big. The Ravens finished the season with a record of 13-4, winning a whopping ten games against teams with more wins than losses. Before the game in Week 18 against the Steelers, they won six games in a row, including against the playoff teams from Miami, Los Angeles and San Francisco. So you can definitely say that this team is more than convincing. Due to the bye week in the wildcard round and the rest of the starters in week 18, the break was long for them. Could this have taken them out of the routine and perhaps even been an advantage for the Ravens? The two teams also met in Baltimore in the first week. The then and current home team won the duel comfortably with 25:9.
9:51 p.m
It’s Strouds world we live in!
No matter how you twist it, this year’s number two pick has to be talked about. The rookie quarterback has simply turned the Texans and the NFL inside out and is showing absurd performances for his age and, above all, his experience. Of course it’s not just his achievement, because for example they also have a new coach, also a rookie as head coach, but from 3-13-1 to 10-7 and the division win is a house number. And even if the schedule wasn’t the most difficult in retrospect, there were some games that you had to win first. Especially last week against the Cleveland Browns, against whom most experts rated them as underdogs. However, these experts quickly silenced them and completely overwhelmed the Browns’ actually strong defense. The final score was 45:14 and should give them a lot of confidence. They also need this, because today the number one title contender for many is waiting for them.
9:22 p.m
Divisional Round, the first!
Hello and welcome to the Divisional Round of the 2024 NFL Playoffs! After last week’s Wildcard Round offered a lot of surprises, this week it’s time for the next round. The first seeds from both conferences are now in action and the Baltimore Ravens will face the Houston Texans in the first game of the weekend.
