20′

20:52

A free kick from Hamburg is blocked for the next corner.

16′

8:48 p.m

There’s speed involved! This time Jatta is sent deep again and crosses flat in front of the goal. However, there are no passing stations, which is why Krahl can grab the ball.

13′

8:45 p.m

Boris Tomiak

Tooor for 1. FC Kaiserslautern, 1:1 by Boris Tomiak

Lautern is awarded two corners because the first cross is blocked. The second cross also flies onto the head of a Hamburger, but from there into the backcourt to Tomiak, who is left alone. The defender shoots flat through the hustle and bustle to the inside post, from where the ball slowly rolls behind the line!

12′

8:44 p.m

Now the home team is on the offensive! With a bit of luck, Zimmer gets through to the front right and crosses just past the far corner. Pherai was still there.

11′

8:44 p.m

The guests are leading and given the way the game was played in the first ten minutes, that’s okay. Lautern doesn’t seem really awake yet.

10′

20:41

Robert Glatzel

Too bad for Hamburger SV, 0-1 by Robert Glatzel

Now HSV takes the lead! Jatta gains speed on the right and plays half-high past Krahl to Glatzel. He somehow jumps into the ball and sends it over the goal line with his thigh!

9′

20:41

Almost the own goal! Kraus heads a free kick cross just centimeters past the right angle! Badstübner then blows the whistle because of an alleged offensive foul.

7′

8:39 p.m

Hamburg again plays its way into the penalty area, but the last pass doesn’t reach. The 1. FCK clears before the opponent’s first shot.

5′

8:37 p.m

HSV builds up a lot of pressure while the home team waits for a counterattack. So far, none of the approaches have led to scoring chances.

2′

8:34 p.m

There is space for a cross on the right for the first time, but the Red Devils’ defense is secure in the center.

1′

8:32 p.m

Lautern toasts in front of a home crowd. The ball rolls. Let’s go on a wild ride!

20:27

It’s Fritz Walter weather in the Fritz Walter Stadium. The floodlights are on and both teams step out onto the pitch in a great atmosphere. It will not be long!

20:21

Florian Badstübner travels to Betzenberg with the experience of 40 first division appearances. The 32-year-old referee receives support from line assistants Philipp Hüwe and Mario Hildenbrand.

20:13

Until the 2000s, the duel between Kaiserslautern and HSV was firmly anchored in the Bundesliga schedule. Last year both teams met for the first time in the 2nd league. In the first leg, both teams drew. 1. FC Kaiserslautern won the second leg on matchday 28 2-0 and thus contributed significantly to the Rothosen’s tremors.

8:05 p.m

Tim Walter even has to react to three failures. Ignace Van der Brempt, Ludovit Reis and Jean-Luc Dompé are missing from the squad and will be replaced by Moritz Heyer, Immanuël Pherai and Ransford Königsdörffer.

19:58

Ragnar Ache is out injured at Kaiserslautern. This gives Terrence Boyd another chance at the forefront. Dirk Schuster also has Kevin Kraus in defense again after having to watch twice. He replaces Julian Niehues.

7:48 p.m

After a good start to the season, HSV recently had to recover from a small phase of weakness. This worked very well with two wins from the last three games. What is striking, however, is that the people of Hamburg have enormous problems abroad. The Rothosen only got one win away from home. This was picked up in Hanover and therefore still relatively close to my own living room. In addition, Lautern only suffered a defeat at home. After all, there was a club from Hamburg that was able to beat 1. FCK.

7:39 p.m

The 1. FCK is currently acting as pursuer and should feel very comfortable in this role. After all, it is significantly better than in many of the past years, when class warfare had to be declared. The Red Devils remained unbeaten for eight games in a row before suffering an extraordinary defeat last weekend. After a 3-0 lead in Düsseldorf, Lautern conceded four more goals and lost the game. It is now important to recover from this. With a (clear) victory, third place would even be possible.

7:30 p.m

A real treat for all football fans: 1. FC Kaiserslautern welcomes Hamburger SV. Both teams are in the promotion race. Welcome!
