After an eventful day, in which mercenaries from the Wagner group headed for Moscow on Saturday because their leader Yevgeny Prigozhin had called for an “armed uprising”, it is now a matter of waiting to see how painful the consequences will be for Russian President Vladimir Putin, who already spoke of a “knife in the back”. Although Prigozhin eventually ordered his troops to turn back, it remains to be seen how weakened Putin’s position is now.
