Live shopping provider HSE buys content specialist Manycreators

HSE, one of the leading live commerce providers in the German-speaking region, has taken over the internationally operating multi-channel network (MCN) Manycreators from Amsterdam. With the takeover, HSE signals its entry into the agency business and expands its previous business model. Manycreators supports content creators in building a sustainable following and acts as an accelerator for various social media platforms. As a preferred partner of TikTok, the agency for creator management has been working with well-known influencers since 2016.

The merger opens up new design options for both companies within the creator economy: classic influencers who were previously only active on social media now have access to new marketing channels through HSE, where they can also launch their own products. Influencers – or creators, as they are called by the two companies – receive professional support from HSE in developing and expanding their marketing and business potential. The company has relied on successful cooperation with well-known lifestyle personalities for 26 years. In addition to the marketing power and a high reach, HSE opens up the possibility of developing new target groups and diversifying their followers through a greater variety of channels.

At the same time, HSE is entering the growing market of social commerce, which is mainly driven by social media platforms, “because experts are not only dealing with social commerce as an absolute megatrend in China and Southeast Asia, but also in Europe,” says in the press release. “With the multi-channel network Manycreators, we have acquired an asset that, like HSE, is a convinced driver of the creator economy and carries innovation and interaction in its company DNA – a perfect match for us,” explains Sandra Rehm, CEO of HSE.

According to its own information, the company reaches around 46 million households in Germany, Austria and Switzerland with its three TV channels (HSE, HSE Extra and HSE Trend). It also has an online shop, an app and social networks. HSE generated revenues of EUR 809 million and adjusted EBITDA of EUR 160.3 million in 2020. The company employs over 1,200 people, including over 850 in Germany.
