Congratulations, but no victory yet. Telstar hopes to be able to beat Helmond Sport in the fourth games of the season tonight. FC Eindhoven – Jong AZ is the second match that you can follow directly on NH Radio from 7 p.m. An outright smasher between two teams that have won everything so far.
Telstar trainer Mike Snoei does not yet have access to his newest addition. The Greek is not eligible to play because the transfer was formally confirmed by AEK Athens just too late.
Last season, both encounters ended 2-2. Telstar has only lost one of the last 12 matches that both teams have played against each other. In 2018 it finished in 2-3 at the Schoonenberg sports park. Melvin Platje scored both goals. It was the first year under trainer Mike Snoei who led the Velsenaren to a handsome sixth place in the ranking.
Since this season, Monnickendammer Martijn Kaars has been playing at Helmond Sport. The former attacker of FC Volendam scored once and has a disappointing start with his club. Helmond Sport invested in an almost completely new group of players, but has zero points after three games. Erik-Jan Brinkman is the reporter in Velsen-Zuid.
FC Eindhoven – Young AZ
One of the teams where Helmond Sport lost (1-3) is Jong AZ. Just like last season, the Alkmaar promises have had a flashy start to the competition. MVV (3-1) Maastricht and Almere City FC (3-2) were also defeated.
With FC Eindhoven, the youngsters of trainer Maarten Martens will meet a formidable opponent. Last season, the team from Brabant just missed out on promotion and the new season has started strongly with three victories. Strikingly enough, FC Eindhoven only played against fellow provincials. They won against FC Den Bosch (1-3) and Helmond Sport (0-1). Willem II bit the dust on the Aalsterweg (2-1). Frank van der Meijden provides the match commentary.
NH Sport will be there tonight from 7pm to 10pm. Of course we also look back on the 2-1 victory of AZ in the Conference League over Gil Vicente and the draw. Your presenter is Edward Dekker.
