Live NH Sport with MVV Maastricht – Telstar and Young Ajax – Young AZ

While general manager Pieter de Waard cycles to Maastricht with a group of Telstar supporters, the players today take the bus for the 231-kilometer ride to South Limburg. That is also wise, because there is still something at stake for Telstar: the play-offs. MVV Maastricht – Telstar starts at 8 p.m. and, just like Jong Ajax – Jong AZ, can be followed live on NH Radio.

Telstar still has a chance to participate in the play-offs for promotion to the premier league. Although that chance is getting smaller by the week. How about that? The team from Velsen must catch up four points in the last two league games against VVV-Venlo, which also has a considerably better goal difference (+4 against -13 for Telstar).

In other words: VVV-Venlo cannot get more than one point against De Graafschap tonight and next week against Jong FC Utrecht. Telstar itself has to win twice, successively against MVV and NAC Breda.

Prune suspended

Trainer Mike Snoei is missing on the bench. He is suspended after the red card which he received in the home game against Willem II (0-0). Assistant Anthony Correia does the honors.

The former Telstar player also replaced Snoei in the home match against MVV Maastricht. In that match the White Lions shot out of their shoes and won 5-3. Rein Smit, who was absent tonight, scored three times on that weekday evening. Due to the wintry weather, the game on Friday-evening was canceled at the last minute. Our reporter in stadium De Geusselt is Stephan Brandhorst.

Young Ajax – Young AZ

For our second game in NH Sport we go to sports park De Toekomst. The Young teams of Ajax and AZ meet in Amsterdam. On November 17 of last year, the talents played 1-1 against each other. The difference is also small in the ranking: the Alkmaarders are eleventh with 48 points and Jong Ajax is thirteenth with 46 points. Our reporter in the Bobby Haarms stand is Frank van der Meijden.

In addition to these two games in the first division, we naturally look back in NH Sport the first semi-final in the Conference League between West Ham United and AZ (2-1) and we look forward to the 32nd round in the Eredivisie. NH Sport is there from 7 pm to 10 pm. Your presenter is Robbert van den Heuvel.
