Fabio Jakobsen demonstrated yesterday in a great shape to stitch† Bundle that with the well-oiled QuickStep machine that surrounds it, and the question arises which other sprint teams are willing to work their way out of the seam today. Dylan Groenewegen (eighth yesterday) and Caleb Ewan (thirteenth) will in any case have suffered a dent in their self-confidence.
The riders will start moving at 1.05 pm for this third Tour stage and around 5.10 pm they are expected in the finish place Sønderborg. The ride is almost flat, just like yesterday. There are three mini-climbs of the fourth category spread over the course, so bulb collector Magnus Cort may have a new party for his compatriots to organize.
The coastline is close by all day and the riders ride some parts close to the sea, but we now know that the Danish wind gods are not necessarily in favor of cycling spectacle lovers. Still, the classification teams will keep a close eye on the weather sites. After all, you never know in such a first Tour week.
