According to Ukrainian Deputy Defense Minister Hanna Maljar, the ratio around Bachmut is 1 to 9 and in southern Ukraine more than 1 to 5. Those figures cannot be independently verified. NATO chief Jens Stoltenberg, meanwhile, has called for more military support for the Ukrainian counter-offensive. And in Russia, convicted criminals or suspects can now serve in the army.
