Amsterdam – Farmers from all over the country have gathered in the Gelderse town of Stroe to demonstrate against the cabinet’s nitrogen plans. This caused long traffic jams on the highways in the morning. After the farmers’ protest in Stroe, the farmers will again hit the highway en masse with tractors. According to the police, this causes “dangerous situations and enormous nuisance”, but it is not always possible to get all tractors off the highway. The police say they will intervene if the farmers want to block the highway.
