Matthijs de Ligt was expected, but that too Mats Wieffer and Donyell Malen being in the base is a little surprise.

The Dutch team wants to finally kill Ireland

The Dutch team can at least eliminate one competitor for second place in its European Championship qualifying group tonight. In addition to a victory in Dublin against the Irish, the Dutch also want to convince in the field game. “We now want to show it over a longer period,” says Ronald Koeman.

“We are also curious whether they will continue to play as always. Or that they are going to change something in this match of the last chance,” says Koeman. He himself makes a decision on the match day about the availability of Nathan Aké, while Lutsharel Geertruida has to miss the game. He dropped out of the last training session prematurely.

Orange without Lutsharel Geertruida

Lutsharel Geertruida will have to miss the European Championship qualifier between Ireland and the Netherlands tonight. The Feyenoord defender left prematurely during the last training in the Aviva Stadium on Saturday and did not appear to be fit in time.

Geertruida’s name is missing from the final match selection, which was released by UEFA on Sunday. Also left back Ian Maatsen (Chelsea) has to watch the game from the stands. National coach Ronald Koeman selected 25 players. The match selection may consist of no more than 23 players.

Matthijs de Ligt (Bayern Munich) is normally Geertruida’s replacement. Defender Micky van de Ven of Tottenham Hotspur, who was in the stands with Maatsen in the 3-0 European Championship qualifier match against Greece on Thursday, is now part of the match selection due to Geertruida’s injury.
