Ronald Koeman just turns it around. The laundry list of injuries does not frustrate the Dutch national coach. Even after saying goodbye to Brian Brobbey, Steven Bergwijn, Jeremie Frimpong and Lutsharel Geertruida, who were in Zeist this week but dropped out again, Koeman is not out of the game.
In fact, the national coach also sees advantages. “I can now see many other players and also with my own eyes,” says Koeman. And he likes that. Jorrel Hato, for example. “I am more than satisfied about him. He’s only seventeen years old.” But Hato does not start against Ireland. And Thijs Dallinga, called up after Brobbey’s absence, falls flat. The Toulouse attacker shows what he is worth on the training field. “Dallinga is satisfying”, says Koeman.
