Ajax will start the away match against Go Ahead Eagles at 4.45 pm with Perr Schuurs and Devyne Rensch. Both defenders replace Jurriën Timber and Noussair Mazraoui.
Mazraoui is sitting on the couch. Timber is not part of the selection. He may not have emerged unscathed from Wednesday’s away game against Benfica (2-2) in the Champions League.
Ryan Gravenberch has to make way for Davy Klaassen again. André Onana will defend Ajax’s goal, as announced on Saturday. That is because Remko Pasveer, Jay Gorter and Maarten Stekelenburg are injured.

AZ – Feyenoord 2-1
AZ has approached Feyenoord by three points in the Eredivisie. The Alkmaarders took a 2-0 lead before half-time thanks to two utilized penalty kicks from Jesper Karlsson, after which Dani de Wit saw his 3-0 disallowed. After the break, Lutsharel Geertruida scored the connecting goal, but that was not enough for Feyenoord to achieve a result.
Vitesse – NEC 4-1
The Gelderse derby has fallen prey to Vitesse. The Arnhem team picked up steam after the break and thanked Alois Oroz, among others, who became the big man with two hits. The Croatian made the decisive 3-1 with a spectacular overhead kick. Thomas Buitink then closed the game for good.
SC Cambuur – Fortuna Sittard 2-1
Tom Boere gave SC Cambuur a victory over Fortuna Sittard with two goals: 2-1. The Limburgers took the lead in Leeuwarden, but the match turned after Fortuna’s 0-2 was rejected for unclear reasons on the advice of the VAR.
FC Groningen – Willem II 1-0
Bjorn Meijer helped FC Groningen with a good header to a home win against Willem II. The 18-year-old defender scored in the 14th minute after a measured cross from Bart van Hintum. The northerners are in tenth position and remain in the race to participate in the play-offs for European football.
Heracles Almelo – PEC Zwolle 2-0
PEC Zwolle failed to leave last place. Dick Schreuder’s formation went down for the first time in 2022; Heracles Almelo was 2-0 too strong due to goals from Luca de la Torre and Sinan Bakis.
RKC Waalwijk and FC Twente opened the 24th round on Friday evening. Dimitros Limnios gave the losers the win (1-2) in the final minute, after Jens Odgaard had undone Ricky van Wolfswinkel’s opening goal.
