The Ukrainian army has not yet lost any territory in its counter-offensive against the Russian occupiers, President Volodymyr Zelensky claims. The Ukrainian army says it has recaptured eight villages and about 113 square kilometers of territory since the start of the counteroffensive. Several Russian officials have admitted that Kiev has won small victories. Ukrainian Deputy Defense Minister Hanna Maliar indicated Monday evening that the operation is difficult, because Russia is doing everything it can to stop the offensive.
