The 26-year-old Dutchman beat the tough Fabio Fognini in three sets, who was unable to move freely from the second set and decided to give up at 6-4, 7-6 (2), 3-2. Rafael Nadal is most likely waiting in the third round, provided the thirteen-time champion manages to win tonight.
