FC Emmen easily won 3-0 against Jong AZ in a sold-out Oude Meerdijk tonight. The men of trainer Dick Lukkien had little to fear from the opponent and played a sovereign match on their way back to the Eredivisie.
With 4 games left on the calendar, FC Emmen has a lead of 6 points on the number 2, FC Volendam. They won 3-1 against De Graafschap. FC Eindhoven is the new number 3 after a 3-1 victory over Almere City FC. Excelsior lost 1-4 to Telstar at home and falls to place 4.
If FC Emmen manages to win a visit to FC Dordrecht next week, the Drenthe club is sure of promotion to the Eredivisie.
