Former general manager of Ajax Frank Kales has passed away. The Amsterdam club has announced this. Kales was 81 years old.
“Ajax has learned with sadness about the death of former general manager Frank Kales. Ajax wishes the surviving relatives a lot of strength in processing this loss,” can be read on the club website.
Kales was part of the Ajax management in 1999 and 2000. He was the club’s second director since Ajax’s IPO. Under Kales, Ajax signed a sponsorship contract with Adidas, which is still a clothing sponsor.
