US President Joe Biden gave his second State of the Union address tonight. In this annual ‘throne speech’ to members of the US Congress, the president looks back on the previous year and sets out his priorities for the coming period. Biden pleaded for cooperation across party lines, promised the wealthy and big companies would be taxed more fairly in the future, and slammed “Big Pharma” for outrageously charging drugs.
