Live assessment of Leijon in Russia – “There are no other options”

According to the Russian site, the World Cup will end with Finland’s celebrations and Canada’s stomach-churning.

In Russia, it is believed that the Lions will repeat their world championship from last spring.

Russian site Championat published a prediction of the results of the World Cup of Ice Hockey, even though Russia will not be able to participate in the games due to the war. Finland has been promoted to the first place in the tournament.

– I didn’t want this to be trivial, but there is simply no other option. The coach who led the team to the final four times out of four has not gone anywhere. Neither do most of the players who were in the finals, the site refers to the head coach Jukka Jaloseen.

– Are there even other options than the championship?

Championat also lists NHL stars as Finland’s strengths Mikko Rantanen, Kaapo Kako and Kasperi Kapanen. However, the website hints that the Lions would receive special treatment from the judges in Finland.

– There is a home court and home referees (remember last year’s final), the story hints.

The Russian website refers to last year’s World Cup climax, after which the Swedish referee duo received criticism.

Several verdicts spoke volumes, but Canadians were left in the lurch Sakari Manninen preceding the winning goal of Thomas Chalbot received a freeze and Canada’s goal, which was first disallowed and later accepted.

A farce for Canada?

According to Championat, Leijon has only one weakness.

– The only thing that can work against Finns: They usually win when you don’t believe in them. Last year, the rule was repealed.

Venäläislehti estimates that the Czech Republic will win the World Cup silver, the USA will get the bronze.

– Maybe For Kari Jalose (as for almost any of the Finnish coaches) the absence of the stars is rather an advantage, not a problem, the site evaluates the Czech Finnish pilots.

Sweden would be fourth in the tournament. If the prediction comes true, Canada would scandalously be only sixth.
