In addition, many municipalities have a ban on fireworks for private individuals. That didn’t stop many revelers from shooting a flare into the air, it turns out. The fireworks show went ahead in Brussels and Antwerp. In the Antwerp district of Kiel, the police were present en masse last night to get groups of troublemakers under control.
