Aurora has released two new songs. The two singles “A Dangerous Thing” and “Everything Matters” preview the Norwegian singer’s album THE GODS WE CAN TOUCH, due out January 21 on Deccra.
Asked about “Everything Matters,” which is a feature with French artist Pomme, Aurora said she contacted the artist so he could write an ending for her song. “It’s a very strange story. A story I hope people will find out for themselves.”
He continued: “I often feel like this world wants me to focus on all these big miracles, which causes me to overlook all the small miracles. Because little miracles happen all the time. Sometimes even several times a day. And I want to see all of them. Because everything is important.”
Regarding “A Dangerous Thing”, the artist explained that she was surprised to find out how often in life the ugly would masquerade as the beautiful. “And when we learn that what we thought was good for us is actually bad for us — even then, we often go back to it. Because at least it looks familiar to us. And we all only dream of a home. Seductive yet destructive. A dangerous thing indeed.”
The two singles follow Aurora’s single “Heathens”, which was released in December. The artist’s third studio album will be released on January 21, 2022.
