Their separation was a few years ago. The two were a couple for 16 years.
Lisa Bonet and Jason Momoa will soon go their separate ways on paper. After the two made their separation public in January 2022, Bonet has now filed for divorce in Los Angeles District Court.
Assets and custody should already have been decided
In the documents, the classic “irreconcilable differences” are cited as the cause of the separation. The divorce papers emphasize that neither Bonet nor Momoa will receive any financial support and that an agreement has already been reached regarding the division of assets. In addition, it is stipulated that both should have joint custody of their 16-year-old daughter and their 15-year-old son.
The actor couple met in 2005 and started dating, and they got married in 2017. According to official documents, they separated about three years later, in October 2020 – more than a year before the divorce was publicly announced. It is the first marriage for Momoa and the second for Bonet, who was previously married to Lenny Kravitz. Their relationship resulted in daughter Zoë Kravitz. It will probably take at least six months for the dissolution of the marriage between the “Aqua Man” actor and the “Cosby Show” actress to be finalized and made legally official.
