More and more people swear by lipstick salt.

At the end of summer, food people’s Instagram and Facebook start to fill up with light green pictures. The lipstick salt is drying up in several kitchens.
Among other things Sikke Sumari reminds you that now is a good time to make salt. Salt that makes everything a little better.
According to Sumari, the taste beats all meat stock cubes and fondues.
After Sumari’s Insta post, there has been a lot of praise.
Even one follower states: “Jeez, what a taste bomb”.
Another praises how wonderful the herbal lipstick is.
A third uses it to spice everything up:
– Lipstick salt á la Sikke has been tested and works both for seasoning meat soup and a box of macaroni.
Also a chef Risto Mikkola wants to highlight a good and aromatic lipstick, i.e. liper. It is an old traditional plant that used to be a familiar sight in the yards of houses.
In recent years, lipstick has also been found on the herbal shelves of stores.
Mikkola doesn’t understand why lipstick is only added to meat soup.
– Lipstick has possibilities for anything. For example, its taste suits a fatty fish like this very well. Let’s get the lipstick out of the meat soup, Mikkola laughs.
You can’t mistake the taste of the lipstick, even though it’s a bit reminiscent of celery and leek. In addition to its strong taste, it has a strong smell.

A good tip is that you can use the lipstick for vegetarian dishes instead of the meat stock cube. The lipstick works well both fresh and dried.
Lipstick salt can be made in several ways. You can dry the licorice separately and rub the dry herbs in a mortar with salt, or mix fresh herbs and salt in a blender. Dry the paste and put it in a jar.
Sumari suggests seasoning summer tomatoes with salt. Then the taste of summer doubles.

Tie a few fresh sprigs of lipstick into a bundle with string and hang in a dry place to dry. Remember that bundles that are too big will take a long time to dry.
Grate the dry sedum leaves in a mortar, add a couple of tablespoons of good finger salt and grind to a rough paste.
