The band’s first “Greatest Hits” album with twenty of their most important songs will be released on April 12th.

Linkin Park released their new song “Friendly Fire” with vocals by Chester Bennington this Friday, February 23rd. And as if that wasn’t already a small sensation, they have also announced their first “Greatest Hits” record. PAPERCUTS (SINGLES COLLECTION 2000-2023) arrives April 12th and includes 20 singles.

A recording from the ONE MORE LIGHT era

Seven years after the singer’s death, Linkin Park fans now have another chance to hear his voice on a new track. The piece was originally created in 2017 while working on their work ONE MORE LIGHT, as the band’s guitarist and second singer Mike Shinoda mentioned in 2020 – but so far it has remained in the drafts.

For all German fans there is an additional reason to be happy – in this country the group has announced an exclusive limited edition single bundle with “Friendly Fire” on CD (in a wallet sleeve) and a PAPERCUTS bucket hat.

The greatest hits record is coming soon

A total of twenty of their biggest hits were compiled by the remaining members. Mike Shinoda explained how the compilation came about and thanked their fans: “Curating the tracks for PAPERCUTS was a joy. Each song in the collection is both a unique moment in our journey and part of an ongoing story – our own as well as yours. From our first release ‘One Step Closer’ to the brand new ‘Friendly Fire’, this tracklist spans all of our chapters so far. Thank you for being part of our journey. We hope you enjoy PAPERCUTS.”

The “best of” will be released on CD, cassette and double vinyl – there is even a choice between several colored vinyl variants in a limited edition and classic, black vinyl.
