Line-up, tickets, arrival and the weather

The Highfield Festival goes into the next round and will take place this year from Friday 18th August to Sunday 20th August. Around 35,000 visitors are expected to attend the indie rock festival at Störmthaler See in Großpösna, Saxony. The first Highfield Festival took place in Hohenfelden in 1998.

In terms of music, everyone should get their money’s worth at the 24th edition of the Highfield. The line-up ranges from pop and hip hop to rock and punk. Bands and artists such as Die Ärzte, KIZ, Marteria and Tokio Hotel have confirmed for this year and will perform on a total of three stages.

The festival pass for the entire weekend costs 189.00 euros. This includes admission on all three days with access to the event site and the campsite.

Alternatively there is day tickets for each Friday, Saturday or Sunday. The price for a ticket is 89.00 euros and allows access to the festival site (not to the campsite) during the event times.

The festival site is located directly on the Störmthaler See in the Saxon community of Großpösna. If you are arriving by car, please follow the instructions of the traffic service at all times. The parking spaces are assigned and cost five euros per day. In the interest of all guests, it is important to leave the access roads quickly.

The parking areas are not guarded and are located separately from the campsite. All forms of trailers hanging behind the car are not allowed on the campsite and must be parked in the parking lot. Guests with a motorcycle can use the trailer park free of charge.

Visitors arriving by train can use a shuttle service from Leipzig Central Station. The departure point is at Willy-Brandt-Platz on the east side of the station. The shuttle bus costs ten euros per person and runs between the main train station and the festival site. You can check the departure times view and print out here.

Weather

In Großpösna on Friday morning (18 August) it is still foggy and cloudy with temperatures of 19 degrees Celsius. Later, the sun only appears occasionally with an otherwise cloudy sky and the temperatures reach 29 degrees. In the evening there is a cloudless sky and the temperatures range between 23 and 28 degrees. At night it will be cloudless with a low of 20 degrees. Gusts between 10 and 14 km/h are expected.

Up to ten hours of sunshine are expected at the Highfield Festival on Saturday (19 August). Here the sun shines from morning to afternoon at temperatures of 19 to 33 degrees Celsius. In the evening the cloud cover in Großpösna remains closed with values ​​of 27 to 32 degrees. During the night it will be mostly cloudy, but it will remain dry with a low of 21 degrees. Gusts between 22 and 39 km/h are to be expected.

The last day of the festival will be cloudy. With just four hours of sunshine during the day, the sun in Großpösna cannot assert itself and it is cloudy with temperatures of 21 to 28 degrees Celsius. At night it is cloudy, the stars can only be seen sporadically and the values ​​drop to 20 degrees. The wind gusts reach a maximum of 15 km/h.
