Lindsey Vonn41, speaks with enthusiasm at the start of the season.

– I’m in pretty damn good shape for my age, the American declared before the women’s skydiving competition in St. Moritz.

– I probably feel better now than before my first ACL injury in 2013. Everything feels great. Physically, I’m probably in the best shape ever, which is fun. The best part is that it doesn’t hurt anywhere.

Vonn retired after bad injuries in 2019, but returned to the alpine tour a year ago in December.

In the spring season, which brought mixed results, he was not yet physically in such an attack where the bills would go in the best possible way.

Now the season started perfectly. On Friday, Vonn took the 83rd World Cup victory of her career completely overwhelmingly. It was the legend’s 44th MC victory in the downhill.

A pound

Under the Olympic season, Vonn took a pounding course.

– My goal was definitely to get stronger this summer. I was slimmer than I wanted to be last season. I didn’t have enough time to prepare. I didn’t have time to properly regain muscle mass.

Now the issue has been fixed, at least partially.

– I’m still a touch lighter than my peak years, but I managed to gain 12 pounds (5.4 kilos) over the summer, which I’m really excited about.

He has witnessed the transformation in the gym photos on his Instagram account.

Vonn’s sights are on the Milan-Cortina Olympics in February.

Cortina, the center of the Olympic alpine sports, is an important place for the American during his career. There, for example, he achieved his first podium finish in 2004.

Vonn has won the World Cup competition in Cortina no less than 12 times.
