Lindemann wanted the tiger not to lick him but to attack him

As soon as the new Till Lindemann video “Zunge” was released, the next Schoicker was already on the horizon for the 60-year-old Rammstein singer. In the clip you can see a tiger licking Lindemann’s face – and the filming in the Great Moscow Circus appears to have been somewhat frightening.

The filming of “Tongue” took place some time ago – in 2019, not only before the allegations of abuse, but even before Corona. “Tongue” is definitely not a lyrical examination of the Rammstein case in light of the allegations of sexual abuse.

The longing for self-harm could possibly already be assumed: in an interview with the Russian newspaper Komsomolskaya Pravda the general director of the Great Moscow State Circus Edgard Zapashny spoke of unpleasant details. “Lindemann stated that he intended to perform all the stunts personally,” Zapashny reports. “Could a tiger attack me?” Lindemann asked. When asked whether it was clear to him that this meant danger to his life, Lindemann replied: “Yes, I understand everything, it doesn’t bother me.” Zapashny refused. “Because I didn’t want to take on such responsibility and uncontrollable risks with a world-class star.”

However, the Rammstein frontman didn’t let himself be dissuaded from feeding the predators – Ricky, Anita, Eric, Kurt – at least from hand to mouth. Lindemann otherwise behaved properly, followed all instructions and did not endanger anyone, especially himself.

When asked how expensive the filming of “Tongue” would have been, ringmaster Zapashny replied: “I have no data on the total budget. And we did the work for free. I replied that we would do everything for free because he was an artist who aroused our sympathy. That’s all.”

The age-restricted video is preceded by a disclaimer – which could be more due to the dramatization than the friendly statement: “All stunts and tricks were produced by professionals. Please do not try to recreate any of this at home. No visual effects or special effects were used. The following video may be disturbing to some due to its graphic content.”
