A Berlin tattoo artist is causing a sensation with a special campaign: anyone who has a Rammstein tattoo will get a free cover-up from her.
In the course of the current allegations of abuse against Till Lindemann, a German tattoo artist called Mila Loba A special offer for Rammstein fans with band tattoos: She promises free cover-ups on her social networks. So the tattoo artist covers Rammstein logos, portraits and the like with other motifs. “I offer you to cover up your Rammstein tattoo — free of charge or on a donation basis (blackwork/ornamental)”, she specifies the offer.
The appeal that Loba published on Tuesday (June 6th) met with a great response, and she said she was surprised by the extent of the response. “I thought it would stick with my clientele, but it went through the roof pretty badly,” she told the Tagesspiegel.
According to Loba himself, he is not a fan of the band and became aware of the scandal through the video by YouTuber Kayla Shyx. She finds it worth supporting if die-hard Rammstein fans of the band no longer want to be identified with the band, she is quoted as saying.
Others follow their example
She is said to have received hundreds of messages, including 20 specific requests for a Rammstein tattoo cover-up. “I’m a woman who keeps her word, I’ll cover up Rammstein tattoos,” she explained in an Instagram story. Others followed suit — a tattoo artist called Hobocat Ink also offers Rammstein tattoo covers — fans only have to pay the cost of materials here.
