Lindemann says goodbye with a “bad tongues” rhyme

“And always remember: You don’t believe bad tongues, the truth will come out anyway. Thank you, good evening!” With these words, Till Lindemann said goodbye to his fans on Tuesday evening (July 18). His band Rammstein made a guest appearance at the Berlin Olympic Stadium for the third time in a row.

The 60-year-old actually wants to let his lawyers speak for himself. However, he does not refrain from commenting on the allegations of abuse against him with jokes. In “Angst”, for example, Lindemann sang “everyone is afraid of Lindemann” instead of “everyone is afraid of the black man”. In another song, he changed “the birds aren’t singing anymore” to “the singers aren’t fucking anymore”. When the first allegations against him arose, he seemed even more battered, speaking live on stage of “storms that will pass”.

His fans continue to cheer the Rammstein frontman’s martial attempts at sealing. The band is still in the crossfire. In addition to Lindemann, allegations have now also been made against Flake. The keyboarder is confronted with incidents in a current investigation by the Norddeutscher Rundfunk (NDR) and the “Süddeutsche Zeitung”. The focus is on an alleged incident in Flake’s estate in Brandenburg. This was more than 20 years ago.

A then 17-year-old woman told the large team of reporters that after they went to a bar together in December 2002, sexual acts had apparently taken place. At the time, she was “absolutely in love” with Till Lindemann, the woman is quoted as saying, who initially “embellished” her real age by five years compared to Lindemann and Lorenz. As in previous cases, alcohol and sedatives were allegedly involved, the report said.

After Lindemann had left the group in Flake’s quarters to sleep, she would have gone to her own bed there. Flake would have missed and according to her own statements she would not have been able to stop the keyboard player. At least she turned away, whereupon Flake would have turned her back and had sex with her.

The next Rammstein live date: Paris, Stade de France on July 22, 2023.
