Violinist Linda Lampenius delights her followers with her own childhood photo.
December 13th is the traditional Lucia Day. Lucia is considered to bring light to the darkness of winter.
Violinist Linda Lampenius celebrated Lucia’s day by sharing a childhood photo on her own Instagram account. In the picture in question, she is dressed as Lucia. Lampenius’ head is decorated with a red candle crown.
– Happy Lucia’s day! I performed for the first time as Lucia in 1972, the violinist writes in his publication.

On tour in Finland
Lampenius is currently on tour in Finland together with the well-known band Apocalyptica Perttu Kivilakson with. This is the violinist’s first tour in Finland in 25 years.
– We both sing through our instruments. We are soulmates. Perttu is also as big a fan of opera as I am, Lampenius told Iltalehte in November.
– We have both been through difficult things in our lives. You couldn’t play those feelings if you haven’t experienced them yourself.

The violinist recalled how the corona pandemic was a financially challenging time. The situation surprised the experienced artist.
– Last year, I received only one month’s support from the Swedish government to be able to pay myself a salary. Since my company owns a violin, I had to take out a lot of loans for my company. If I had gone bankrupt, I would have lost my violin, Lampenius recalled.
