It seems that Linda de Mol is finally going to break her silence. She is already back on television and an interview about the Voice riot now seems imminent. “Possibly in two weeks.”
For a long time it was thought that Linda de Mol would return to television after she had given a major interview about her position in the Voice abuse scandal. Nothing could be further from the truth: Million Hunt returned to the tube last weekend, but Linda keeps her lips tight.
Linda stays silent
One thing is certain: if Linda ever wants to host her beloved talk show Linda’s Winter Month again, she can’t afford to just keep quiet. Because why would her guests show the back of their tongue?
Telegraaf journalist Jordi Versteegden would have thought it smart if the talk show had returned with Linda herself as the first guest. “You would think that she would return with that to perhaps just sit there on the couch and have herself interviewed by someone else. However, that is not going to happen for the time being,” he says Private TV.
Winter month not back
Linda’s Winter Month skips at least one season. “I checked with Talpa and that program, Linda’s Winter Month, is not returning for the time being.”
And what about Jeroen Rietbergen? Will it return? “Obviously it would be very difficult to get back to him because of what happened. Also because of the image of Linda, which has been badly damaged, partly because of what he did to her of course. I honestly don’t expect them to get back together anytime soon.”
Two weeks
Jordi expects Linda to break her silence in two weeks. “I myself quite honestly think that next month when the LINDA. is in the store again with Linda on the cover for the first time, that there will be a column or story in which she will let go of something for the first time about what has happened in the past period.”
The October issue of LINDA., featuring Linda back on the cover for the first time, will be in stores from September 21. There are still two big questions: did she indeed already know about several misconduct by her then boyfriend Jeroen Rietbergen in 2019? And: why did she not do anything within Talpa with her inside information in the Ali B file?
