Linda de Mol scores solidly with TV comeback: ‘Still expected more’

Linda de Mol scores solid with her return to television. The season premiere of Miljoenenjacht yesterday was the big winner in prime time. “Still, I expected more viewers.”

She is back on television: Linda de Mol. And that without answering for her role in the Voice abuse scandal. There are still two big questions: did she already know about multiple misconduct by her then boyfriend Jeroen Rietbergen in 2019? And why did she not do anything within Talpa with her inside information in the Ali B file?

Linda is full

Linda refuses to answer. She did fill up yesterday during her entrance into the Miljoenenjacht studio: more than enough for her colleagues from Shownieuws. “I thought: I’m not going to overshoot. Well, that didn’t work. Thank you, how very sweet,” said the former TV queen.

Dan: “You probably won’t have noticed that I’ve been out of circulation for a while, but thanks to the support and sweet messages from a lot of you at home I can honestly say that I’m really looking forward to this brand new season of Postcode Loterij : Million dollar hunt. And once again: after almost three years in an old-fashioned overflowing studio.”

‘Expected more’

In addition to the thousand people in the studio, another 1.1 million people (27 percent market share) were sitting at home on the couch watching Linda’s big comeback in a brand new Million Hunt on SBS 6. This made the program the big winner on SBS 6. prime time.

It is, however, the second least viewed season premiere of Miljoenenjacht of the past ten years. “I expected something more,” says AD media journalist Marcus den Blanken. And former SBS boss Tina Nijkamp: “Nice score, but I expected something more.”

Beau beats Linda

Beau van Erven Dorens, who is currently at odds with Linda, offered the most viewed alternative to Miljoenenjacht with Weet Ik Veel. That program, an old Linda show, scored 767 thousand viewers (18 percent) on RTL 4. Painful: in the commercial target group, most important for RTL and SBS, Beau did beat Linda.

Tina writes: “Surprisingly enough, not Linda de Mol wins with Millions Hunt in the all-important target group 20 to 54 years, but Beau van Erven Dorens with Weet Ik Veel: 26.7 versus 19.5 percent respectively. Also with a big difference and after Half Eight News the highest score of the evening.”

Humberto in the elevator

How about half past nine? There, RTL 4 wins with 750 thousand viewers (23 percent) for Humberto on Sunday, a top score, and much better than the 297 thousand viewers for Humberto on Saturday the night before. SBS 6 managed to captivate 605 thousand viewers (16 percent) with the kick-off of A Year Of Your Life – from tonight on daily on TV.

NPO 1 is very disappointing: the Anita Witzier show Festival of Love did not get more than 372 thousand viewers (9 percent). “Anita Witzier wakes up very annoying,” says Tina. “A bizarre and rare low score for NPO 1 and no less than 1.4 million viewers less than the Achtuur news. The program has definitely flopped.”
