Because of the drama surrounding her beloved Jeroen Rietbergen, Linda de Mol has missed one season as a presenter of the super cheerful Ik Hou Van Holland. Now she returns to the show and the timing is striking: the Public Prosecution Service has officially decided to prosecute Jeroen for rape.

Can Linda screech happily on television when an alleged victim of your loved one is sitting on the couch at home? Critics think not. And media journalist Marcus den Blanken thinks that her appearance will not be credible in any case, he says in the latest episode of the AD Media podcast.
Marcus is amazed. “It surprised me a bit because Jeroen Rietbergen is being prosecuted and she wouldn’t go on TV completely heppie-de-peppie then, I think. No alternative
According to Angela, Linda can do little else. “Yes, but that’s twelve episodes a year. And there is no alternative. I think if that weird Five Live hadn’t flopped so much, she might have again. She continues: “And if she wants to boost her image, she will have to come up with a few big successful shows again. Then the chance with Ik Hou van Holland is of course the greatest.”

Marcus is skeptical. “Yes, but do you think that will still work? Of course I love Holland has been declining for years.”
Angela: “Well, that she wants to do that again, I understand that.”
Dennis: “And I also understand that SBS wants it.”
Marcus finds it implausible, a little fake: “Still, I wouldn’t have done it, because as a viewer I don’t believe it.”

“Not sincere!”
Marcus: “No, no, but it really has nothing to do with Linda doing or not doing something. It’s not about what Linda did or didn’t do, it’s about what I’m looking at as a viewer. I’m not judging her, I’m not saying she’s involved in anything. She’s in a situation and when I look at her, I don’t believe it. I don’t think she means it cheerfully sincere.”

Marcus: “Exactly.”
