Harmonie Sainte Cécile from Eijsden rehearses hard for the Pentecost concert. Last week she played a serenade for Willem-Alexander and Maxima. There is another icing on the cake, because on King’s Day Saint Cécile, together with two Maastricht harmonies, will march across the Servaas Bridge in the presence of the royal couple. All in all, after a long corona silence, it is suddenly busy days for the “De Roej” from Eijsden.

Record attempt to bake giant omelette in Hegelsom
Onions, peppers and mushrooms, each 20 kilos. Then 10 kilos of bacon, 5 kilos of butter and a few kilos of salt. And of course eggs, no less than 5,500 pieces. Those are the ingredients needed to bake the largest omelette in the Netherlands. Youth carnival Hegelsom made a record attempt to bake giant omelette.

Talent day at Eaters
Despite the summer temperatures last weekend, young ice hockey players and ice hockey players put on their skates. Eaters organized a youth tournament in Geleen, which also featured clubs from Germany and Belgium.
