After the incident happened backstage, Lil Wayne left the location in a rage.
50 Cent planned several surprise performances for his concert in Los Angeles on Wednesday (August 30) – alongside Tyga, YG and Chris Brown and was supposed to be Lil Wayne live at the start. But Lil Wayne’s guest part never came about.
Reason for this: The US rapper is said to have been pushed by an employee backstage shortly before his stage performance, after which Lil Wayne left the venue angrily.
According to an insider who told Page Six, Lil Wayne was only 20 minutes backstage before the incident happened. Exactly what happened is unclear.
However, according to Augenzeug:innen it seems possible that people who worked on site energetically pushed the musician aside in order to be able to do their job – but without knowing who he is and he felt he was being treated too harshly.
This wasn’t the only incident at the gig. During the concert, 50 Cent was given two microphones, neither of which appeared to be working. The 48-year-old seemed so upset that the rapper threw one into the crowd, hitting a woman in the head. The visitor was radio host Bryhana Monegain, who later shared photos of her laceration on a blog.
On the said blog page, Monegain said he saw that 50 Cent originally tried to throw the mic at his crew and accidentally hit them. She later filed a complaint against the rapper. 50 Cent’s attorney told XXL: “My client would never intentionally hit someone with a microphone. Anyone who claims otherwise does not have all the facts and is misinformed.”
50 Cent is currently on his “Final Lap Tour” celebrating the 20th anniversary of his debut record GET RICHT OR DIE TRYIN’. He will also appear in five German cities in September and October.
