The series about the whirlwinds of the music business, which will be released on the HBO streaming service later this year, has been made by the creator of the Euphoria series Sam Levinson.
In addition, there is also the artist The Weeknd, 32, real name Abel Tesfaye. He is involved as the series’ scriptwriter, executive producer and also as one of the actors.
This is the Canadian R&B artist’s first major acting role.
They have also been involved in producing and writing the series Reza Fahim, Ashley Levinson and Joseph Epstein.
The six-part series is about a self-taught cult leader who begins a complicated relationship with a rising pop idol.
Based on the trailer, it’s at least a visually impressive series. There will also be spectacular parties, filming and costumes.

Tesfaye will be seen in the role of the cult leader. Depp plays the hedonistic and flamboyant pop idol who enjoys parties.
Pop star Troye Sivan will be seen in one of the main roles, among others, who has published a photo of the filming of the series on his Instagram.
