Pamela Anderson Pam & Tommy miniseries actor Lily James has revealed that he resorted to an extreme method during the filming of the series, reports Daily Mail.
During the filming of the series, James did not give up his character at all. The actor said that he even spoke to his own mother in Anderson’s voice. According to James, the reason for the intense performance was that Anderson’s character and his own personality differed too much.
– We are so extreme that taking on the role again and again would have been too much. So most of the time I was between the two of us. I spoke without realizing it in his voice, James said.
The actor suspects that he also lost several other job opportunities because of that role.
– I believe that I lost several jobs because I always spoke in Pamela’s voice during auditions.
Transforming into Anderson also required a lot physically, as James was masked every day for four hours. However, the actor has said that it encouraged him to cast himself as a completely different person.
– It was a very messy project, James has told the British newspaper Mirror.
– I felt like a wreck after that.
The mini-series describes Anderson’s stormy relationship with the drummer of the band Mötley Crüe To Tommy Lee. Leetä plays in the series Sebastian Stan.
