The national representative of La Libertad Avanza, Lilia Lemoine, came out harshly to question Pamela David after the television host slipped versions about the private life of President Javier Milei. Through an extensive message on social networks, the legislator accused the media figure of “agreeing with a person who harasses the President and his entourage” to “invent things” and warned about the political, institutional and personal impact of this type of versions. She is referring to Rosmery Maturana, who describes herself as Milei’s former wardrobe advisor. He says he chose his campaign jacket.

According to Lemoine, this action not only “validates the harassment towards the President by normalizing situations that are unacceptable towards anyone”, but also installs in the popular imagination a supposed intimacy that did not exist, which – he warned – opens the door to later “they can invent anything” and give it verisimilitude from that false basis. In this framework, he maintained that “operations do not begin overnight” and that, once started, it cannot be predicted how far they will escalate.

The deputy also focused on the institutional damage that, in her opinion, these types of stories generate, beyond the moral or personal level. “No one has to suffer and tolerate harassment, much less encouraged by the mass media,” he stated, adding that these versions affect not only the President but also “the real partner he may have or has had.” At the end of his defense, he launched a phrase that summarized his anger: “In addition, they make the President look like a bagartero when his track record shows that his partners are all beautiful women.”

Lilia Lemoine is a national representative for the City of Buenos Aires and one of the most visible figures in the libertarian space. With a close relationship with Javier Milei, he was part of his political and communication environment before arriving at Congress and is characterized by a frontal, confrontational and very active speech on social networks. From his bench, he usually comes out in defense of the President against media and opposition criticism, especially when he considers that they target his private life or seek to erode his public image.
