Two years after dragging Jaimie Vaes out of the car, he is back in the spotlight: Jorik Scholten. We have recently been able to stream a documentary series about him and on Monday evening he was allowed to promote it at Renze Klamer’s talk show table. Afterwards Aran Bade was waiting for him to briefly interview him RTL Boulevard.

Baby blurted

Aran asks Jorik, among other things, whether he sees his son Lío often. “Well, they are in Ibiza, they live in Ibiza. Just between us: they might come to the Netherlands because he goes to school in the Netherlands and that would mean that I would see him much more often and be able to take him to and pick him up from school. That would be very nice,” he answers.

We don’t see anything of Jamie in that documentary. Did she give permission for the film? “She didn’t give permission. That’s why she’s not in the documentary and that’s why my baby was blurred.”

Statements from Patty

Aran then points to Patty Brard’s statements. “There are people who are also a little worried about Lío, of course, because of this whole situation. What is your reaction to that?”

Patty finds it worrying that Jorik and Jaimie’s son still doesn’t talk, even though he is already 4.5 years old. “That child doesn’t talk – and I have to be very careful what I say, because I don’t know why – but I think the situation is partly to blame for that. (…) They came home at five o’clock in the morning drunk and snorted!”

‘Not appropriate’

Jorik clearly doesn’t want to talk about that. He says irritated: “I don’t think that’s appropriate to discuss on camera.”

Aran: “No, how he is doing, in terms of whether people might be worried…”

Jorik: “You ask me: what do you think about people thinking about it?”

Aran: “Yes, if people see that documentary and have that feeling.”

Jorik: “I’d rather not talk about that on camera, because he… When he’s old enough, he can talk about it himself.”

Agitated

Aran tells the Boulevard desk that the atmosphere changed when he asked this question about his son. Jorik acted very ‘agitated’, according to the show expert.

“Then the grimace disappears for a moment and he is really emotional about it. You could feel that: all kinds of things are going through his mind underneath, but he still keeps that smile and that is difficult to read…”
