It seems like a bad joke: Lil Kleine drank at the bar of the TV studio immediately after his comeback interview with Renze Klamer, in which he talked extensively about his detox process. How do we know that? Aran Bade, reporter for RTL Boulevard, was waiting for him outside. “Did you just drink another beer?” he then asked.

Beer at Renze

Jorik doesn’t beat around the bush and confirms that he was drinking with Renze: “Yes. Certainly. Yes.”

Aran thinks it is fair, but also significant that Jorik came out last. “We spoke to him after the talk show Renze and he came out last. Even Renze had already gone home. Then he was drinking a beer again. He is very open and honest about that, but I also find it contradictory.”

“Already relapsed!”

Well-known addiction expert Dick Trubendorffer thinks that Jorik is fooling himself when he says he has kicked the habit. “If he says: ‘I drink alcohol occasionally’, then he has already relapsed. We shouldn’t even talk about how long he will stay anymore clean? He has already relapsed!”

Jorik seems to feel guilty, because every time it comes to his child, he reacts very attacked, even at Renze’s table. “You also saw him get a bit irritated when it came to his child. Of course, that irritation speaks volumes, because then you have the devil by the tail at that moment.”

Against the light

Deep down, Jorik knows that he is not a good father, according to Dick. “No one who is addicted likes to be held up to the light and told, ‘Yes, but this is really going on.’”

He feels bad for the rapper. “He’s quite a troubled boy, isn’t he, when you see how he struggles with various addictions and manifests himself in a certain way that makes you think: what’s going on with that boy and what’s bothering him?”

Take pills

Jorik announces in his docuseries that he wants to use drugs again soon. “I’m going to take a pill again someday. I will definitely do that sometime.”

Dick does not understand why Jorik pretends to be clean in the media: “That whole façade he puts up doesn’t make any sense. This is just an image you have created to deal with your problems.”
