The accident happened around 7:30 am on line 38 between Hasselt and Heers. “The driver crashed into the facade of a house,” said De Lijn spokesperson Frederik Wittock. “There is some damage to the house and also to the bus, so in that sense we call it an accident with heavy material damage. But the good news is that no one was hurt. The driver is of course a bit in shock and we don’t really know yet what happened.” The travelers were able to continue their route with a replacement bus.
