They’ve got a bang… During a lightning burglary in a Neukölln supermarket, gangsters stole fireworks.

Around 11 p.m., several people are said to have broken into the discounter Lidl on Glasower Straße. The perpetrators broke open the glass doors and made a beeline for the fireworks.

According to initial information, they loaded a complete trolley with pyrotechnics – then it went through the emergency exit.

Witnesses said the burglary lasted less than 5 minutes. The perpetrators escaped with the bulky vehicle, of which there is no trace so far.

A close-range search for the perpetrators and the trolley was unsuccessful. The police investigated on site.
