Lighthouse Lange Nelle shines less bright due to technical defect
According to the Agency for Maritime and Coastal Services, this has nothing to do with the commotion at the beginning of this year. Then a foil was applied to the glass of the lighthouse. This was to prevent the light from shining in the new residential towers.
After fierce protest by many Ostend residents, that decision was reversed. The new lamp is on its way from Finland. After installation, Lange Nelle will shine again as before.
