During an inspection at the beginning of October, the Licensing Committee ruled that KVO’s finances were in order and that the club met all obligations. A month later, less news followed, it turned out that there were overdue transfer fees surrounding players Ivan Durdov, Mickael Biron, Thierry Ambrose, Zechariah Medley, Daniel Perez and (then also) Mateo Barac. In addition, taxes had also not been paid. The club has managed to meet some payments since then, but other payments and problems are now emerging.
The limited player list (‘Squad Size Limit List’) means that KV Oostende has fewer players eligible to play. Normally there are 25, plus anyone under 21 years old. For the first infringement this was reduced by two, for this infringement the same sanction will be imposed again. In total, KVO can only put 21 players on that list.
