Libyan authority investigates overdue maintenance of breached dams: “Cracks never repaired”

Libyan authorities have launched an investigation into the breach of two dams in the east of the country on Sunday, flooding much of the coastal city of Derna. The two buildings have been suffering from major maintenance backlogs for years, various news agencies report. Meanwhile, more and more international aid is arriving in the flood-affected part of Libya.
