Liberation Festival Drenthe at Baggelhuizerplas in Assen resumed: ‘Thunderstorm threat over. Program proceeds as planned’

The Liberation Festival Drenthe at the Baggelhuizerplas in Assen continues. The site was evacuated at 3 p.m. due to approaching storms. That threat is over.

This is what festival chairman Gerrit Boes says. “It will remain wet until just before 8 p.m., but with a good coat and shoes it should work. I would like to call on everyone to come back again.”

Meau out, Jannes kicks off at 5.30 pm

Visitors were asked to leave the site around 3 p.m. due to approaching storms. Singer Meau was just about to start at the time. “She had already landed by helicopter, but because of the bad weather she went to Flevoland by bus. She does perform there,” says Boes. “Sorry, but it’s no different. Fortunately, the rest of the programming continues as planned.”
