The Liberation Festival in Assen will open again. The doors have been open again since 4.30 pm. Performances by Jannes, 10cc, Maan and Jody Bernal, among others, are still on the schedule.
The organization had shut down the Liberation Festival Drenthe in Assen due to thunderstorms. The access roads were closed and people had to leave the site, because the weather situation was too dangerous to have thousands of people on the site.
Chairman Ger Boes says that there will still be a little rain until 8 p.m., but that you can come back to the festival site with sturdy shoes. “There is no longer a thunderstorm threat.”
According to Boes, there were 5,000 people on site at the time of the storm.
