Liberation Festival 2022 in Zoetermeer: ​​this is the program

Unfortunately, freedom is not self-evident. How nice that on Thursday 5 May, perhaps with mixed feelings, we can celebrate freedom in our country together. After two years of absence, the city is full of fun activities. On Thursday 5 May we celebrate the Liberation Festival with a slightly adjusted program than we are used to.

We celebrate freedom on various stages throughout the city. We commemorate Liberation Day with music and children’s activities on the Market, in the Stadstheater, in Poppodium de Boerderij and on the Nicolaasplein.

Bands on the Market

Various bands will perform on the Markt from 6 pm. The pop/rock band Harlem Oil plays pop music, dance numbers and rock classics. Reggae band Blended Culture plays reggae, dancehall, roots and lovers rock. The evening will be concluded by De PlusSupportAct. This band is known to many Zoetermeer residents because they have played many times during the Liberation Festival. A good atmosphere guaranteed!

Guilty pleasures on the Nicolaasplein

The DJs of Radio 538 will transform Nicolaasplein from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m Die Verrückte Stundeplein† You can dance and blare to wrong hits, guilty pleasures and party bangers. That’s jumping!

Dancing in the City Theater

Children can go to the Stadstheater during the day. There is a cozy and free dance party in the Stadstheater. Reservation is not necessary.

Poppodium Boerderij will host an exclusive concert which will be announced at a later date. In addition, in the run-up to the Zoetermeer Liberation Festival, the organization wants to take action for the refugees who end up in Zoetermeer. More on this later.
