But this year it is even more so, given that after six years the “ONLUS Association” has been recognized as a Foundation, with even more demanding and expanded tasks and responsibilities.
The Libellule Foundation’s Christmas dinner
An evening conceived and planned down to the smallest detail to welcome in the warmest and most affectionate way all the supporters who generously participated in the constant commitment of the Foundation’s doctors and volunteers, day by day, patient by patient. Story by story. The goal of the evening was also to contribute to the purchase of Mammotomean extraordinary innovative tool that can improve and speed up tumor diagnosis, helping doctors to develop the possible treatment path for patients with breast cancer.
The dinner took place at the Parioli Restaurant in Milan on November 27th, in an atmosphere full of smiles, colours, lights and good things to taste, drink and look at. A way to thank and finally embrace people and companies who have been fundamental in making every help possible, from the smallest to the most urgent, to women with cancer.
Together we win: the slogan of the Libellule Foundation
Stay together has always been a central part of the Libellule Insieme Foundation (indeed, it also wanted it in the name). Because, as we read on the site (fondazionelibelluleinsieme.it/), “Together we win. The dramatic moments that accompany the course of the disease are overcome. We start again, life continues and can be better than before”.

Who was at the gala dinner?
The evening was achieved thanks to the support of Mediolanum Private Banking, represented by the President Giovanni Pirovano, by Vanda Castelli, Wealth Advisor of Banca Mediulanum and by the Press Office Manager Roberto De Agostini. Among the 170 guests were personalities from the world of culture, entertainment and science.
To do the honors of the house, the President of the Libellule Foundation Alessandra Martinoni, the vice president Mariangela Fucci and the founder Doctor Paola Martinoni. Naturally together with the volunteers and doctors who collaborate in the two offices in Milan.

Many precious collaborators and supporters were present. Among these, Andrea Monti, communications director of the Milano Cortina 2026 Foundation, Mauro Orso, City Councilor and President of the Work and Economic Development Commission of the Municipality of Milan.
Among the doctors who collaborate with the Libellule Insieme Foundation were Bossi from the Maugeri Foundation, Francesco Leone, gynecologist at the Sacco Fatebenefratelli Hospital in Milan.

And then Virginia Stancheris, external relations manager of the winery, who has always supported women with cancer and who generously offered the exquisite wine for dinner. Representing the Cremascoli family, who have hosted the Foundation at their facility free of charge since 2018, was Paolo Cremascoli.

At the end of the evening, the French cosmetics house Maria Gallandwhich has always supported the Libellule Insieme Foundation both with substantial economic contributions and with the offer of massages and cosmetic products, greeted all the participants with a special gift.
How the Libellule Onlus Foundation was born
In 2015, on the advice of Professor Umberto Veronesithe doctor Paola Martinonifounded theLibellule Onlus Association in memory of Franca Veronesi, which today has grown into a Foundation, an oncological point of reference for hundreds of women who reach it from all over Italy.
“Fondazione Libellule Insieme” aims at a structured path of prevention, treatment and support of women with breast or genital cancer through innovative instrumental tests, a post-surgical follow-up scrupulous, tailor-made and without waitinga social and psychological support active, as well as a constant awareness raising on the issues of early screening.

The seed planted by Professor Umberto Veronesi
On the occasion of the creation of the Libellule ONLUS Association, Prof. Umberto Veronesi said to Dr. Paola Martinoni: “I have fought all my life to remove cancer from women’s bodies, now I leave it to you, dear Dragonflies, the task of erasing the memory of it from their minds too“. She took these words seriously and, without thinking twice, accepted the invitation, transforming it into what has now become the Libellule Insieme Foundation.
