As a thank you, all care employees have been invited to the largest outdoor and indoor event for friends: the Libelle Zomerweek. The annual event will kick off next Thursday, May 19.
This is not the first time we have put healthcare workers in the spotlight. In the summer of 2020 – during the corona crisis – we released a beautiful song together with the former cohort department of the Amphia Hospital in Breda. A special edition with ten different covers on which healthcare employees were central.
A day of relaxation
“This is the day to give something back to the care workers who have worked so hard in recent years. We are of course happy to do that for our care. This year we have chosen the care employees of the Erasmus MC. We also give them some festive relaxation during our anniversary of the Libelle Summer Week. We look forward to their arrival,” said Hilmar Mulder, editor-in-chief of Libelle. Joke Boonstra, director of Erasmus MC, says that she thinks it is fantastic that we can put the care employees in the spotlight together.
25 years Dragonfly Summer Week
This year we are celebrating an extra big party! Libelle Zomerweek is 25 years old. The best of recent decades has been brought together during this extra festive anniversary edition. In addition to old acquaintances such as Jan, Jans and the children, hairdressing icon Rob Peetoom and Het Kooktheater, Libelle columnists, editors and vloggers are present in three different Libelle houses. Masterclasses, fashion shows, talks with authors, hundreds of shopping stands, photobooths, thousands of workshop places, a news café, makeovers and lots of garden and home inspiration can be found at the event.
Dancing and swinging
Traditionally, various well-known artists such as Mart Hoogkamer, Trijntje Oosterhuis, BENR, Bastiaan Ragas with Basband, OG3NE and Nielson will perform during the week.
